Work
Loran Beynon is an Associate Solicitor in the Lifetime Planning department at JNP Legal, having joined the practice as a Paralegal in 2012. Loran has trained and qualified at JNP Legal, experiencing the different areas of law offered by the practice, and now specialises in Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Estate administration, Trusts and Court of Protection Applications.
Loran prides herself on providing the best experience to her clients, applying a holistic approach to lifetime planning advice and creating long term relationships across family generations.
Experience and Expertise
Although Loran now specialises in all aspects of Lifetime Planning, she also has a background knowledge in property law allowing her to provide depth and understanding on many aspects of a client’s case. Loran’s knowledge enables her to represent clients in the following areas;
- Wills - Advising clients on the best ways to ensure their wishes are carried out on death, considering their individual circumstances, asset preservation and inheritance tax position.
- Lasting Powers of Attorney - Assisting families to ensure that there is adequate provisions in place for someone to be able to make decisions regarding a person’s finances and health, should a time come when the Donor is unlikely to make those decisions for themselves, or they require some additional support in retaining independence.
- Probate applications and Estate Administration - Whether it be applications for Grants of probate only, or assistance in administering an estate from start to finish, Loran has the experience to guide you through the process.
- Trust matters - Providing advice and assistance on all Trust related matters, to include Property Protection Trusts and asset preservation, Declaration of Trusts linked to related purchases or tailored Vulnerable persons trust to ensure loved ones are looked after in the best way.
- Court of Protection applications - Providing the support and assistance to loved ones in challenging times to apply for Deputyship applications.
Loran’s personable and empathetic demeanour allows her to provide a tailored and supportive service to clients in preparing for difficult circumstances that passes on through generations.
Loran is currently studying towards becoming a full member of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP) , and hopes to achieve the accreditation in the near future.
Interests
Outside of work Loran is a busy mum of three, and spends most of her time with her family. She is is passionate about staying active and regularly participates in fitness classes and enjoys long family walks.
