Supporting Hope Rescue at Summer Networking Event and Cardiff Half Marathon 2026

Supporting Hope Rescue at Summer Networking Event and Cardiff Half Marathon 2026

We were delighted to attend Hope Rescue’s first Summer Partnership Networking Event last week, bringing together partners, supporters and members of the Hope Rescue team for an inspiring evening at their rescue centre.

Rebecca Rees and Rachel Townsend represented the firm at the event, where they had the opportunity to explore parts of the centre, including the sensory garden, and gain a deeper understanding of the vital work carried out by the charity.

During the event, guests heard from Vanessa Waddon and Cheryl George, who shared the story behind Hope Rescue, its continued impact across Wales, and its strategic plans for the year ahead. Vanessa highlighted that 899 dogs came through the charity’s gates in the past year alone, with each one representing an animal in need of safety, compassion and a second chance.

A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the official Cardiff Half Marathon t-shirt, featuring the firm’s branding, by Katie Hedges, Regional Fundraiser at Hope Rescue, pictured here in the centre with Rachel on the left and Rebecca on the right, holding the t-shirt.

We are proud to announce that JNP Legal will be sponsoring the Cardiff Half Marathon on 4 October 2026 and that Rachel Townsend will be running as part of #TeamHope, raising funds to support the dogs in Hope Rescue’s care.

The Cardiff Half Marathon is Wales’ largest mass participation event and a sell-out fixture in the sporting calendar. The race has helped put Cardiff on the map as a destination for sports tourism while raising significant funds for charity and contributing positively to mental health, women’s participation in sport, grassroots development, volunteering and environmental sustainability.

The fast and flat course takes runners through some of Cardiff’s most iconic locations, including the scenic barrage at Cardiff Bay, the surroundings of Roath Lake, and the vibrant city centre. All participants will receive commemorative medals and t-shirts as part of the celebratory finish experience.

Supporting Hope Rescue aligns closely with a commitment to making a positive impact in the communities served. The charity continues to play a crucial role in rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming dogs across South Wales.

We look forward to supporting Rachel on her fundraising journey and encourage others to get involved in supporting #TeamHope and the incredible work of Hope Rescue.
