Community
Our community and charity work
At JNP Legal, our foundation is built on the values and spirit of the South Wales Valleys. We’re proud to be more than just a legal firm, we’re an active part of the community, working together with local charities, organisations, and businesses to create lasting, positive change.
Our partnerships go beyond sponsorships and donations. We believe in building meaningful relationships that benefit everyone involved, whether that’s helping local initiatives thrive, supporting events that bring people together, or offering our time and expertise to causes that matter.
By collaborating with us, partners gain access to a trusted, community-focused organisation that values integrity, visibility, and shared success. Together, we can amplify impact, strengthen local networks, and continue to support the people and places that make the Valleys so special.
Charities we support
We have two nominated charities which we support on a partnership basis. These are 2wish Cymru, a charity supporting those affected by sudden death in young people and Hope Rescue, a charity supporting the welfare of abandoned dogs.
Treharris AFC
We provided pro bono legal services to Treharris AFC, assisting with their lease, a contribution publicly acknowledged by the club, which reflects our commitment to leveraging professional expertise to strengthen local infrastructure and support grassroots organisations.
Merthyr Half Marathon
In 2025, we proudly sponsored the Merthyr Half Marathon for the fifth time, supporting our grassroots community near our head office, where our team members handed out goody bags from our stand to cheer on and connect with local participants.
Pontyclun 175th anniversary events
We sponsored the Pontyclun Town Council’s 2025/26 events programme, celebrating a remarkable milestone in the town’s history, its 175th anniversary. Pontyclun, home to one of our four branches, holds a special place in our community.
JNP Legal was proud to return to Lewis Girls’ School in Ystrad Mynach, where team members Abbie James and former student Natasha Bolton spoke with Year 13 pupils about careers in law. The visit reflects our commitment to supporting local schools, inspiring future talent, and opening pathways into the legal profession.
Demonstrating our commitment to local causes, we’re proud to sponsor 100 runners in the 2025 Cardiff Half Marathon for Hope Rescue’s 20th anniversary. Together, we aim to raise £20,000 to support vulnerable dogs, foster care, and rescue operations, while highlighting the charity’s mission on race day and beyond.
JNP Legal attends Café 50 in Pontyclun every month to offer free, confidential legal advice. No appointment is required, visitors to the community centre during these sessions can speak to one of our team members for guidance and support on a range of legal matters.
