Exciting Growth, New Talent and Promotions Across the Firm

It’s been an exciting few weeks for the firm as we continue to strengthen our teams with experienced legal professionals, emerging talent, and well-earned internal promotions.

We are delighted to welcome several new colleagues across our departments while also celebrating the progression of existing team members who continue to make a significant contribution to the firm’s success.

Welcome to Dannielle Hart – Associate Solicitor, Civil Litigation

We are pleased to welcome Dannielle Hart, who joined the firm this week as an Associate Solicitor in our Civil Litigation Department.

Dannielle qualified as a Solicitor in 2019 with a national law firm, having completed seats in Dispute Resolution, Industrial Disease, and Clinical Negligence. Her experience spans a wide range of litigation matters, including cases involving asbestosis, mesothelioma, and complex clinical negligence claims.

Prior to qualifying, Dannielle worked as a Paralegal managing her own Clinical Negligence caseload while also assisting on catastrophic injury claims.

Since qualification, she has specialised in representing Claimants who have suffered injury as a result of negligent medical treatment. Her experience includes birth injuries, delayed diagnoses, fatal claims, and spinal and neurological injury cases.

Dannielle studied both the LLB and LPC at Cardiff University and, in 2019, was shortlisted as a finalist in the AvMA and Partners and Costs Magazine Awards.

Kate Morey, Partner seen here in the photograph with Dannielle, comments on welcoming Dannielle to the department:

“We are delighted to welcome Dannielle to the Civil Litigation Department. She brings with her a wealth of experience in complex clinical negligence and personal injury matters, along with a clear commitment to achieving the best outcomes for clients. Dannielle is a strong addition to the team, and we are very pleased to have her join us at such an exciting time of growth for the firm.”

Congratulations to Karen Jones on Her Promotion to Senior Associate

We are also delighted to congratulate Karen Jones on her well-deserved promotion to Senior Associate.

Karen joined the firm in 2025 as an Associate Solicitor and has become an integral part of our Property Team based in the Merthyr Tydfil office.

With more than 20 years of residential conveyancing experience, Karen has developed a strong reputation for delivering approachable, client-focused legal services and maintaining excellent local connections within the community.

Her promotion reflects her continued hard work, contribution to the firm, and commitment to growing our property services in the Merthyr area.

Welcome Rachel Townsend - Trainee Solicitor, Property Team

Joining the firm alongside Dannielle is Rachel Townsend, who has joined the Property Team as a Trainee Solicitor.

Rachel graduated from Cardiff University with a Law degree in 2023 before completing her LPC and Master’s degree in 2024.

Before joining the firm, Rachel worked as a Conveyancing Paralegal, gaining practical experience across a broad range of residential property matters.

We are excited to support Rachel as she begins the next stage of her legal career with us.

Welcome Gavyn Cook - Criminal Solicitor

We are also pleased to welcome Gavyn Cook to the firm’s Criminal Department.

Gavyn is an experienced Criminal Solicitor who attends Police Stations and Magistrates’ Courts and works alongside higher rights counsel on Crown Court matters.

Having worked in criminal law since 2006, Gavyn has represented clients in a wide variety of cases ranging from shoplifting offences through to serious matters including murder cases.

His extensive experience and practical approach make him a valuable addition to the team.

Welcome Naomi James - Paralegal, Care Team

We are pleased to welcome Naomi James, who has joined the Care Team as a Paralegal and will begin her Training Contract with the firm later this year.

Naomi graduated from Cardiff University in 2021 with both an LLB Law degree and an LLM Master’s degree in Human Rights Law. She is currently studying at the University of South Wales to complete her Legal Practice Course qualification, which she is expected to finish in summer 2026.

Alongside her studies, Naomi has gained a broad range of experience across the legal sector in a variety of legal environments and roles.
