A Training Contract at JNP Legal offers the opportunity to build legal skills, gain early responsibility, and learn from experienced practitioners who are invested in your development. Trainees also benefit from the opportunity to work directly with our directors, gaining invaluable insight and exposure to senior leadership within the firm. All five of our current Directors and owners trained at JNP Legal themselves, reflecting our strong culture of progression, mentorship, and long-term career development.

Structure of our training contracts
Our two-tear Training Contracts are designed to provide broad experience across key practice areas while allowing trainees to develop areas of interest and strength.
Typical features include:
- A structed training period that meets qualifying requirements
- Experience across a range of departments
- exposure to both client-facing work and legal case management
- Opportunities to work closely with Partners, Associates and senior team members
We aim to offer a balanced and well-rounded training experience, quipping trainees with the skills required for long-term success.
Training, supervision and support
Support is central to our approach. Throughout your Training Contract, you will receive:
- Close supervision and mentoring
- Regular feedback and appraisals
- Access to internal and external training opportunities
- Support with professional development and qualification requirements.
We recognise that everyone develops at a different pace and are committed to providing guidance, encouragement and clear direction at every stage.
