JNP Legal Inspires Future Legal Minds Through School Engagement

At JNP Legal, we are passionate about inspiring the next generation and making a meaningful impact within our local communities. We were recently delighted to support World of Work Week at Trelewis Primary School, a special initiative aimed at broadening pupils’ horizons and challenging career stereotypes.

Our Associate Solicitor, Loran Beynon, and Trainee Solicitor, Zuhal Aylan, visited Year 5 and 6 students to talk about careers in law. The visit was especially meaningful for Loran, who returned to her former primary school to share her personal journey from pupil to legal professional.

The session was lively and engaging, with Loran and Zuhal discussing their educational and career journeys, the various roles within a law firm, and what it’s like to work in the legal field. Pupils asked thoughtful and insightful questions during a Q&A session, and the visit was a rewarding experience for all involved.

After sharing highlights from the visit on social media, we were pleased to be contacted by Porthcawl Comprehensive School, who invited JNP Legal to take part in their upcoming Careers Fair on Wednesday, 18th June. The event is designed to inspire Year 8 students by introducing them to a wide range of career possibilities.

As part of the day’s activities, Abbie James, Paralegal, will be delivering a series of classroom presentations, speaking to pupils about her role, career journey, and aspirations for the future. Dylan Thomas, Solicitor, will be based at the JNP Legal careers stall, where pupils can drop by to ask questions and learn more about the legal profession in an informal, one-to-one setting.

Together, they’ll provide valuable insight into the world of law, highlighting the different pathways into the profession and offering practical advice to pupils exploring potential career choices. The event will be supervised by teaching staff and promises to be a well-organised and inspiring experience, with pupils known for their excellent behaviour and enthusiasm.

We’re honoured to support such a meaningful initiative and are proud to play a role in helping young people explore their futures. We look forward to meeting the pupils of Porthcawl Comprehensive School and continuing our commitment to education and community engagement.
