Our Fifth Year Sponsoring the Merthyr Half Marathon!

We are excited to announce that we are sponsoring the Merthyr Half Marathon for the fifth consecutive year, which takes place on Sunday, 16 March. This year is particularly special as it coincides with the Cyfarthfa200 celebrations, marking the bicentenary of Cyfarthfa Castle, and the 10th anniversary of the race itself.

The event, organised by Merthyr Running Club, will feature a revised route that allows participants to run past the iconic Cyfarthfa Castle. The half marathon will start at 10:00 AM at Merthyr College, where there will be baggage drop and toilet facilities available. Runners will enjoy a scenic course predominantly on road/tarmac with a small trail section, utilising the historic Trevithick and Taff Trails. All entrants will receive a finisher's medal, t-shirt, and goody bag, with a cut-off time of 4 hours for the half marathon.

In addition to the half marathon, there is also a Mini Fun Run for children aged 4-7 at 9:00 AM (must be accompanied by an adult) and a Junior Fun Run for ages 8-16 starting at 9:15 AM. Finishers will also receive a medal and goodies.

On race day, several members of our team will be present at the start line at Merthyr College to extend our best wishes to all participants. We will have a stand set up where runners can collect goody bags and engage with our team. Being an integral part of the community where we operate is a core value for us, and we are proud to support local events like this one.
