Work

Emily Farmer is an experienced solicitor who has built a solid career in law with a particular focus on lifetime planning and care law.

Emily joined JNP Legal as a Paralegal in 2018 alongside her Legal Practice Course before starting her training contract with the firm in 2019. After qualifying as a Solicitor in 2022, she worked extensively in our Lifetime Planning Team, helping individuals and families navigate complex legal matters related to Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Trusts, Court of Protection and Estate planning. Over time, Emily transitioned into the Care Department, where she now provides legal advice on matters concerning child protection and local authority involvement.

Dedicated to maintaining a thorough understanding of childcare law, Emily remains up to date with legal developments to provide accurate, relevant, and strategic advice.

Experience and Expertise

As a Solicitor in the Childcare Department, Emily represents parents in child welfare and public law proceedings. She works closely with families facing child protection concerns, care proceedings, and local authority interventions. With an empathetic and methodical approach, she supports clients through complex and often emotional legal matters, always ensuring that the best interests of the child remain the priority.

Emily is passionate about advocacy and is committed to empowering families with the information they need to make well-informed legal decisions.

Interests

Outside of work Emily enjoys travelling and exploring European cultures. She also enjoys reading and keeping active. Emily has developed an interest in interior design whilst completing a house renovation.
