Tony Williams is a Director in JNP Legal’s Criminal Team, bringing over 20 years of experience in criminal law. He qualified as a Duty Solicitor in 1999 and became a Higher Court Advocate (Criminal) in 2008. He also holds the Law Society’s Criminal Litigation Accreditation.

In addition to his legal practice, Tony serves as JNP Legal’s COLP (Compliance Officer for Legal Practice), COFA (Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration), and Complaints Director. He is a member of the Association of Higher Court Advocates and has extensive expertise in road traffic law and professional misconduct investigations.

Experience and Expertise

Tony Williams is an experienced Criminal Law Practitioner with over 20 years of exclusive criminal law practice and more than 15 years of expertise in regulatory and professional misconduct law. He appears regularly before Magistrates’ Courts, Crown Courts, and Disciplinary Panels, bringing a wealth of experience in court advocacy and litigation.

Tony has been involved in high-profile cases that have attracted media attention, often due to the status of the individuals involved or the unique nature of the cases.

He provides specialist legal advice to police forces and officers in Post Incident Procedures (PIP) across Wales and has delivered training on the PIP process to police forces throughout England and Wales. Additionally, he represents clients in Coroner’s Court proceedings that frequently arise from such investigations.

With extensive knowledge of Road Traffic Legislation, Tony is well-versed in the policies and procedures surrounding road traffic enforcement.
