JNP Legal Sponsors Cardiff Half Marathon Runners to Raise £20,000 for Hope Rescue’s 20th Anniversary
Demonstrating our commitment to local causes, we are pleased to announce our sponsorship of 100 runners participating in the Cardiff Half Marathon, in celebration of the 20th anniversary of Hope Rescue. The sponsorship includes funding for custom-designed running shirts for all 100 participants, each of whom has committed to raising a minimum of £200, which is a collective goal of £20,000 to support the charity's vital work with stray and abandoned dogs.
Wales’ largest mass participation event has put Cardiff on the map as a destination for sports tourism, raised huge sums of money for charity and made positive contributions in areas including mental health, women’s running, grassroots sport, volunteering and environmental sustainability.
Hope Rescue, which has seen a 38% increase in the intake of dogs over the past year, including many puppies and pregnant strays like Carrie, who required an emergency C-section, is under increasing pressure to meet the needs of vulnerable animals. The funds raised will help keep rescue services running, ensure continued support for foster homes, and enable enforcement operations to shut down illegal puppy farms across Wales.
The sponsorship not only covers the cost of 150 branded running tops, with 50 also being used at other challenge events throughout the charity’s anniversary year, but also includes a £10 donation per runner to support the cause directly. These shirts will be highly visible on race day, helping to spotlight the charity's mission and encourage further public engagement.
Rebecca Rees, Director at JNP Legal, commented:
"Supporting Hope Rescue is more than a sponsorship for us. It’s a reflection of our commitment to our local community. We’re proud to be part of an effort that not only raises much-needed funds but also highlights the importance of animal welfare in South Wales. The Cardiff Half Marathon is a powerful platform to bring people together, and we’re honoured to play a part in helping these 100 runners reach their ambitious target for such a worthy cause."
Jade Lewis, Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser for Hope Rescue, responded:
“We’re incredibly grateful to JNP Legal for sponsoring our 2025 Cardiff Half Marathon runners as we celebrate our 20th anniversary here at Hope Rescue. Their support means our amazing team of 100 runners are well on their way raising an incredible £20,000 for the dogs in our care. All whilst wearing our limited edition sponsored co-branded tops. Thank you to the team at JNP Legal for helping us be there to support the dogs who need us most!”
