Chloe Jones: Building a Legal Career from Work Experience to Trainee Solicitor
“JNP Legal gave me my very first opportunity in the legal field, and since then they’ve supported me every step of the way. The people here genuinely want you to succeed.”

Starting a career in law
Chloe’s journey into law began with a strong interest in helping people and developing a career where no two days are the same. Keen to gain practical experience early on, she actively looked for opportunities to engage with legal professionals, attend careers fairs and build connections within the industry.
Her introduction to JNP Legal came through a work experience opportunity in May 2022, after hearing about the firm through a careers event at Merthyr College. What started as a short placement quickly became the foundation for her long-term career with the firm.
Joining JNP Legal
From her first day, Chloe found the team welcoming and supportive. She quickly adapted thanks to a thorough induction and training on systems and processes, which helped her settle into the firm with confidence.
Career progression and development
Following her work experience placement in May 2022, Chloe joined JNP Legal in July 2022 on a part-time basis alongside her Legal Practice Course studies. Her initial role was split between working as a Legal Assistant within the Care Department and supporting the Client Services Team.
In November 2022, she continued as a part-time Legal Assistant within the Care Department. After completing her LPC in November 2023, her role became full time.
She was promoted to Paralegal in October 2025 and began her Training Contract on 1 April 2026.
Experience and development
Chloe has worked across Client Services and the Care Department, gaining valuable experience in both client interaction and legal work. She has developed her confidence, communication skills and legal knowledge throughout her roles.
She values the support she has received from colleagues and the opportunity to progress internally, which has helped her build a strong foundation for her career.

Chloe highlights the people at JNP Legal as the firm’s greatest strength. She describes the culture as friendly, supportive and collaborative, with everyone willing to help each other.
She also values the firm’s commitment to client care and its focus on delivering results while supporting staff development.
